He has had the rich experience of having lived in different countries and numerous places in the US such as Montana, St Louis, Mo., Kansas, New York and, more recently, in Florida.  All these places have helped shape his artistic vision.

His work has been exhibited in galleries in Kansas, Long Island, NY., Spain, Miami and most recently in several galleries in Northeast Florida.  He is an award-winning artist over the years such as third place in watercolors at the Wichita Arts Festival, second place in abstract paintings in the Deland Arts Festival and honorable mention in the art festival at the Jewish Community Center in Jacksonville.  More recently he won second place in the "Awareness with Art" competition which was presented at the 2014 Octoberfest festival in Jacksonville and first place in The Art Center "Under the Sea" competition.    

He has exhibited at the Art Center, the gallery at Trends, the Avondale Artworks and at the Hemming Plaza Jewelers.  He has shown for several years at the Hispanic Month art shows in October and exhibited his work several times at the Latin American Club of Jacksonville and at the Cuban American Club also of Jacksonville.  He has also exhibited in numerous regional festivals such as the World of Nations and the Caribbean Carnival.   He is currently working on a new series of abstract paintings which he hopes to show at a one-man-show at an appropriate venue in town.

About the Artist

Paco was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to the US when he was 13 years old.  After finishing High School he went to study at the University of Salamanca for two years.  He then finished his studies with a Masters degree in Fine Arts (MFA) from Emporia State University in Kansas.
